Who is the target market? College students, baby boomers, neighborhood regulars - casual diners on a budget from ages 18-70, single, couples, friend groups, or families
What sort of colors appeal to this audience? Fire Engine Red, Black, White, Turquoise
What is the emotion you would like to use to sell this product or service? Nostalgia, the restaurant has been a neighborhood favorite since 1987.
How can you use color, line, and layout to express this emotion? I like the idea of keeping the lines bold and retro. Use vivid colors also. Perhaps key into the diamond floor pattern in the redesign?
Specifically, why did you use the colors you chose? Because they were hugely influential and popular in the 50s.
What is the focal point of the design? The logo
Specifically, how did you integrate design elements? The background is the tile design in both the logo and the small advertisement.
Why did you choose the pictures you used? Because they embodied the 50s.
